The Old Tower Inn Empty
PostSubject: The Old Tower Inn   The Old Tower Inn Icon_minitimeWed Sep 24, 2008 6:24 am

The Old Tower Inn is just what the name refers to. The large tower stands directly along the border of the Nachtwald, using the forest as a backdrop.. It's circular shape gives a rather unique appearance to the common room as well as the many rooms available for rent.

The tower itself is protected by a magical force that activates when harm is meant to be done to the tower, therefore the blasted thing cannot be burned to the ground or blown over in the wind. The Inn also sits just on the outskirts of the village, therefore if the lonely walk wasn't enough to give a person the willies, walking so close to the Nachtwald would.

Three or four steps will lead the patron down into the common room proper, with age the tower has sank a bit into the ground and every few years another step has to be added to get down into the commons. With a bar, a peppering of tables and chairs, a few overstuffed chairs and the welcoming of a hearth, it's not uncommon and unreasonable that people are drawn to this unique shaped Inn. A door leading from behind the bar will take one directly into the kitchen and on the far wall of the kitchn, a cellar door is often blocked shut...the cellar is used to keep meats and her liquors in good standing, though most of the Innstaff would rather not have the job of retreiving those items. The stone cellar decends deep under the Inn, the damp stone and the musky smell is nothing compared to the noises and the general feeling of being watched.

The Tower Inn also has several floors of available rooms, though made of stone as they are and being a former tower, they tend to be drafy as well. In the winter, the Innkeepers daughter tries to keep the patronage closer to the lower floors where the heat from the hearth can add to the minimal heat given off by individual small room-hearths.

As with most buildings of Seedorf and her surrounding countryside, they all hold a very creepy feeling. As if eyes are always watching from the shadows, where ghosts lurk and sneak in the night and where families lock their doors before the sun has a chance to fully set.

The Old Tower has been owned by many different owners, the most recent and longest standing is one Milly Vahn. The old woman has long since gone crazy, suffering from hallucinations and dementia, which has left her daughter (grand-daughter to be precise) in charge of the upkeep and general tending of the Inn. Often times Laila Vahn can be found scampering around doing the Inn chores, or spending time curled up near the hearthside with her husband, a certain Koen Meyer.

Kelsi is also readily available to tend to orders and general Inn work. (Kelsi is our npc, use her as you wish..but wisely, please.)
